Patton Kizzire Claims PGA Tour Victory After 6 Years at Procore Championship
Patton Kizzire, former Auburn golfer, secures a PGA Tour victory after 6 years, winning the Procore Championship by five strokes. Learn more about his journey and accomplishments.
Former Auburn golfer Patton Kizzire won his first PGA Tour title in more than six years on Sunday at the Procore Championship. This victory was his third PGA Tour win but stood out compared to his previous wins.
In 2017, Kizzire won the OHL Classic by just one stroke, beating Ricky Fowler. Then in 2018, he won the Sony Open by defeating James Hahn in a playoff. However, at the Procore Championship held at Silverado Resort's North Course in Napa, California, Kizzire finished five shots ahead of his competition with a total score of 20-under 268. He ended the tournament with a final-round score of 2-under 70, following earlier rounds of 66, 65, and 67.
With this win, Kizzire took home $1.08 million in prize money. Before this tournament, he had earned $622,670 in 2024, with two top-10 finishes but also missing the cut 10 times in 18 tournaments.
Kizzire attended three Alabama high schools—Tuscaloosa Academy, Central-Tuscaloosa, and Northridge—where he won two state championships. One was from the AISA, and the other from the AHSAA. He later went on to win the individual title at the 2007 SEC Tournament while playing for Auburn University.
