Mobile Police Investigating Man’s Death as Homicide Near Schillinger Road
The Mobile Police Department has launched a homicide investigation following the death of a man Wednesday evening near 4880 Schillinger Road South, an area anchored by a Circle K gas station that’s usually bustling with late-night customers and passing traffic.

According to Blake Brown, the department’s Public Affairs Manager, officers responded to the scene after reports of an incident in the area. Details remain limited as investigators continue to piece together what happened, but police have confirmed they are treating the man’s death as a homicide.
The scene remained active into the night as detectives combed through evidence and spoke with witnesses. The glow of police lights flickered across the asphalt, cutting through the quiet hum of nearby traffic a stark reminder of how suddenly tragedy can unfold in an otherwise ordinary place.
Brown said the department will release additional information on Thursday, once more facts have been confirmed and next of kin have been notified.
