Nude Man Arrested for Trying to Steal Alabama Police Car After Series of Incidents

Police in Madison, Alabama, are working to identify a nude man who tried to steal a patrol car on Thursday afternoon. The incident was part of a series of disturbances along Alabama 72 West.
Around 1:35 p.m., Madison and Huntsville police responded to several 911 calls from businesses like Burger King, Walmart, Madison Bowling Center, and Mister Car Wash. The callers reported a nude man trying to get into people’s cars, breaking windows, and even assaulting people. There were also reports that the man was dragged by a vehicle when he tried to enter it while it was occupied.
Madison police arrived and found the man on Promenade Pointe Parkway. When they approached him, he attempted to steal the police officer’s patrol car. The officer used force to stop him.
Huntsville police are investigating the incidents that happened before officers arrived. Madison police arrested the man for trying to steal the police car and other crimes. He was taken to Huntsville Hospital for medical treatment and will be sent to jail once he’s released.
Police are still trying to confirm the man’s identity.
