Nick Saban Predicts Georgia as 2024 National Champions: Conference and Playoff Picks

In the last three years, Georgia has been incredibly tough to beat. However, there’s one person who managed to do it: Nick Saban.

Saban’s Alabama team defeated Georgia in the 2021 SEC Championship and again in 2023. Other than those losses, Georgia has been nearly unbeatable for the past three seasons.

Until another team shows they can take down the Bulldogs, Saban finds it hard to bet against his former defensive coordinator, Kirby Smart. Saban predicts that Georgia will win both the SEC and the national championship in 2024.

Saban shared his pick during a segment with College GameDay analysts, where they all made their predictions for the 2024 national championship. They locked in their choices just before the first college football game of the season, which was between Florida State and Georgia Tech in Ireland.

Here are Saban’s picks for the 2024 conference champions:

• ACC: Florida State
• Big Ten: Ohio State
• Big 12: Utah
• SEC: Georgia

Saban also predicted the 12-team playoff lineup. He believes Alabama will be the No. 7 seed and will face No. 10 Notre Dame in the first round. According to Saban, the winner of that game would go on to play No. 2 Ohio State in the next round.
