Lynn Massey, the granddaughter of the late country music legend Loretta Lynn, has passed away at the age of 64. The sad news was shared on the family's official social media, where they expressed their gratitude for the continuous prayers and support.
"Betty Sue's daughter, Lynn Massey, who was Loretta's first grandchild, passed away this week after a long and tough battle with her health," the family shared in a post. "We are so thankful for the prayers and love that have been shown to us."
Lynn Massey’s mother, Betty Sue, also passed away in 2013 at the age of 64 after struggling with emphysema.
Recently, the Lynn family has been dealing with several health challenges. Ernie Lynn, Loretta Lynn’s 69-year-old son, underwent a serious surgery for kidney failure earlier this year. His wife, Crystal Lynn, took to social media to ask for prayers as Ernie’s health remained uncertain after he returned to the hospital.
“We don’t have clear answers about Ernie’s health right now, but the doctors are working hard to figure things out,” Crystal Lynn posted. “More tests are coming. We appreciate your ongoing prayers and support. Thank you, and God bless.”
Crystal also shared that Ernie had been in and out of the hospital throughout the past week.
The Lynn family continues to request prayers and support as they navigate these challenging times.
