As Huntsville City Schools welcomes a new academic year, Superintendent Clarence Sutton has expressed full confidence in the district's educators, stating that grade inflation is no longer a concern. Addressing past issues and emphasizing trust in teachers, Sutton reassured the community that the district is committed to maintaining academic integrity.

"We have complete trust in our teachers," Sutton shared with AL.com after the school board meeting on July 30. "While I can't speak to what happened previously, I can confirm that our current process allows teachers to assign grades that reflect students' true performance. We're focused on moving forward with this trust as our foundation."
