Tragic Alabama Crash: One Killed After Truck Hits Tree in Franklin County

A tragic accident occurred on Monday evening in north Alabama, resulting in the death of a man from Hodges. The crash took place in Franklin County around 5:25 p.m. on Alabama Highway 187, near mile marker 20, which is about two miles south of Belgreen.
The victim, 67-year-old Michael E. Chamblee, was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado when the truck veered off the road and collided with a tree. Sadly, Chamblee was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) are still investigating the cause of the crash.
