Rece Davis has announced that ESPN’s College GameDay will be broadcasting from College Station for the Week 1 football matchup between No. 20 Texas A&M and No. 7 Notre Dame.
Davis shared the news during Saturday’s Week 0 broadcast from Dublin, Ireland. “College GameDay will be at College Station next week,” he said.
Lee Corso, a regular on GameDay, was not present in Dublin. It’s unclear if he will join the team in College Station.
The upcoming game will also be special for new Aggies coach Mike Elko, who will face his former quarterback Riley Leonard. Elko coached Leonard at Duke last year.
Desmond Howard praised Leonard, saying, “He has a lot of confidence and has played in big games.”
The game is scheduled for August 31 at 6:30 p.m. local time (7:30 p.m. ET) and will be broadcast on ABC.
