Auburn Poised to Be Most Improved SEC Team in 2024, Says Nick Saban
Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban praises Auburn as the most improved team in the SEC for 2024. With new talent and a returning quarterback, Auburn is set for a strong season.
Nick Saban, the former Alabama head coach, has given high praise to Auburn as the most improved team in the SEC for 2024. Now with ESPN’s College Game Day, Saban was asked about Auburn and its new head coach, Hugh Freeze.
ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit mentioned that Auburn could be a significant challenge in the SEC this year. This gave Saban the chance to speak up about his old rival.
In a surprising move, Saban agreed with Herbstreit and praised Auburn. “I believe Auburn will be the most improved team in the league,” he said.
Last year, Auburn, under Freeze, finished with a 6-7 record. They had a tough loss to Saban’s Alabama in the Iron Bowl.
As Auburn enters its second year with Freeze, there’s a lot of excitement. The team’s offense is expected to be better with quarterback Payton Thorne returning and new talented receivers joining the team through transfers and new signings.
