Trump Hints at Final Presidential Run if 2024 Campaign Fails
Former President Donald Trump hints that if he loses the 2024 election, it will be his final presidential run. He also reflects on the COVID-19 vaccine and his health in a recent interview.
Former President Donald Trump shared on Sunday that if he doesn't win the 2024 election, it will likely be his last attempt to run for president.
When asked by journalist Sharyl Attkisson if he would run again in 2028, Trump responded, “No, I don’t. I think that will be it.” This is notable since Trump rarely talks about the possibility of losing and often claims elections can only be lost due to widespread cheating, as he did in 2020 and has mentioned again for 2024.
If Trump ran in 2028, he would be 82 years old, the same age President Joe Biden will be by then.
In the interview on the show “Full Measure,” Trump also defended his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. He took credit for helping develop the COVID-19 vaccines during his presidency but said there are ongoing studies to determine their safety. He noted that Republicans are more skeptical about vaccines while Democrats tend to trust them.
At the end of the interview, Trump was asked about how he stays healthy. He jokingly said he tries to eat properly, despite being known for his love of hamburgers. He clarified, “Proper hamburgers,” to Attkisson, who found his comment surprising.
