The most recent national polls for the presidential race show Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate, gaining a lead over her Republican opponent, Donald Trump.

According to the polling average by FiveThirtyEight.com, 47.1% of voters are currently supporting Vice President Harris, while 43.7% are backing former President Trump. Pollsters have noted that 95% of polling averages tend to fall within this range.

In a recent poll by OutwardIntelligence.com, Harris holds a 6% lead over Trump among likely voters. The poll indicates that 50% of voters support Harris, 44% back Trump, and 5% were in favor of Robert F. Kennedy before he withdrew from the race and endorsed Trump.

The poll revealed that Kennedy's supporters are more inclined towards Trump, with 59% choosing the GOP candidate over Harris, who received 41% of their support. This survey was conducted from August 18-22 with 1,867 likely voters, and it has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.3%.

Another poll by Activote.net shows Harris leading Trump by 5.2%. Conducted from August 15-23 among 1,000 likely voters, the results show that 52.6% support Harris, while 47.4% back Trump. Trump tends to do better with rural voters, while Harris is more popular among suburban and urban voters. Younger voters (aged 18-29) and seniors (65+) are more likely to support Harris, whereas voters aged 30-64 lean towards Trump.

Similar to other polls, this one shows Harris leading among women, while Trump leads among men. Both candidates have strong support within their respective parties. The margin of error for the Activote poll is 3.1%.

One of the latest polls, by Napolitan News Service, shows the race as a tie. Conducted from August 19-22 among 2,404 likely voters, the poll shows both Harris and Trump at 49% each. This reflects a slight improvement for Harris following the conventions, as she gained 2 percentage points compared to the previous week.

The poll also highlights that Harris has more support among women, Black and Hispanic voters, urban residents, people with postgraduate degrees, and those earning over $75,000 annually. On the other hand, Trump leads among men, white voters, rural residents, those with a bachelor’s degree or less, and individuals making between $35,000-$75,000 a year.
