Rapper Travis Scott, 33, found himself in legal trouble in Paris after an altercation with his bodyguard at a luxury hotel during the Olympic Games. Multiple reports confirm that the "Sicko Mode" artist was taken into custody on Friday after a confrontation at the renowned George V hotel.
According to authorities, the incident escalated when a security guard attempted to intervene in a dispute between Scott and his bodyguard. The Paris prosecutor’s office released a statement confirming the rapper's arrest, stating, "On August 9, 2024, police officers were dispatched to the George V hotel where Travis Scott was arrested for assaulting a security guard who tried to deescalate a situation between him and his bodyguard."
The case has now been referred to the 1st district of the judicial police for further investigation.
Just a day before the arrest, Scott was spotted at Team USA's basketball semifinal victory against Serbia, showing his support for the American team.
This incident follows a previous arrest in Miami on June 20, where Scott faced charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing after ignoring a warning. His attorney, Bradford Cohen, later described that situation as a "misunderstanding."
