Trader Joe’s Recalls 650,000 Scented Candles Due to Fire Risk: Get Your Refund Now

Trader Joe's is recalling around 653,000 scented candles because they could be dangerous and cause a fire.

The recall affects Trader Joe’s Mango Tangerine Scented Candles. These candles have white wax, a cotton wick, and come in a tin container. They weigh about 5.7 ounces and have the SKU number 56879 on the bottom.

According to news and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Trader Joe's received 14 reports about these candles having very high flames. Out of these, three incidents caused minor damage to property, and two led to small burns.

The CPSC advises everyone to stop using these candles immediately. They were sold in June 2024. You can return the candles to any Trader Joe’s store for a full cash refund of $4. Alternatively, you can fill out a product feedback form online to get a $4 Trader Joe's gift card by mail.

Once you submit the form, Customer Relations will ask you to provide a receipt or a photo of the candle to process the refund or gift card, according to the CPSC.
