Thursday Night High School Football Roundup: Ramsay Runs Past Wenonah, Dominant Nights for Parker and Central-Phenix City

The senior playmaker turned Thursday night into his own personal highlight reel, scoring three touchdowns and leading the Rams to a 27–7 victory over rival Wenonah. With the win, Ramsay moves to 6-3 overall and 5-1 in Class 5A, Region 5, keeping postseason hopes alive and energized.

Martin Takes Control

Martin first struck through the air, hauling in a 19-yard touchdown in the opening half, a perfectly timed grab that gave the Rams early momentum. But it was after halftime that he stole the show.

On the very first drive of the third quarter, Martin burst through Wenonah’s defense for a 54-yard sprint to the end zone, leaving the Dragons chasing nothing but air and hope. He later added another rushing score from 16 yards out, cementing the Rams’ control and igniting the home crowd.

Every time Ramsay needed a spark, Martin delivered gasoline and a match.

Defense Holds the Line

While Martin lit up the scoreboard, Ramsay’s defense handled business on the other side, limiting Wenonah to just one touchdown and shutting down big-play attempts throughout the second half.

This win didn’t just pad the stat sheet it made a statement. Ramsay looks like a team that plans on making noise as the postseason approaches.
