Stevie Nicks Returns to Saturday Night Live After 40 Years for SNL’s 50th Season
Legendary rocker Stevie Nicks is returning to "Saturday Night Live" for the first time in over 40 years. She'll be performing on the Oct. 12 episode alongside host Ariana Grande, as part of SNL's 50th season.
Stevie Nicks, the legendary rock singer, is making a big return to "Saturday Night Live" for the first time in over 40 years. The last time she was on the show was in 1983, when movies like "Return of the Jedi" and "Flashdance" were popular. On that night, Nicks performed two of her hit songs, "Stand Back" and "Nightbird."
Now, she's coming back to the famous 30 Rockefeller Plaza for an episode on Oct. 12, hosted by singer Ariana Grande. Grande is also starring in the upcoming movie version of the popular musical “Wicked.”
This special episode is part of SNL's 50th season, which starts on Sept. 28. The season will kick off with Jean Smart as the host and Jelly Roll as the musical guest. Other exciting hosts and guests lined up include Nate Bargatze with Coldplay on Oct. 5, Michael Keaton with Billie Eilish on Oct. 19, and John Mulaney with Chappell Roan on Nov. 2.
Stevie Nicks made history in 2019 as the first woman to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice—once with Fleetwood Mac and once as a solo artist.
Nicks, who was born in Arizona, is well-known for her solo songs like "Edge of Seventeen" and her duet with Tom Petty, "Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around." She also sang famous Fleetwood Mac songs like "Rhiannon," "Landslide," and "Gypsy."
