Man Dies in Early Morning Fire at Center Point Apartment
A fire at a Center Point apartment complex early Friday morning resulted in one man's death. The fire, which occurred in the 1900 block of East Bend Circle, is under investigation by the Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office.

A tragic fire in Center Point, eastern Jefferson County, claimed the life of a man early Friday morning.
Center Point Fire and Rescue, along with Trussville Fire and Rescue, were dispatched at 12:09 a.m. to a report of a fire at an apartment complex located in the 1900 block of East Bend Circle, Center Point. Initial reports suggested that someone might be trapped inside.
Firefighters managed to control the blaze, but upon searching the apartment, they discovered an unresponsive man. He was pronounced deceased at 1:33 a.m.
Authorities suspect the fire originated from the victim’s apartment. His identity has not yet been disclosed.
The Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office is conducting an ongoing investigation into the cause of the fire.
