Houston-Based Salad Franchise Eyes Alabama Expansion
Salata, a popular Houston-based restaurant chain specializing in "built-to-order" salads, is planning to expand into Alabama. With over 100 locations across the country and more than 10 in Georgia, Salata is now scouting for potential sites in Birmingham and Montgomery.
Salata's menu features salads, wraps, soups, teas, and lemonades, offering more than 50 toppings including fresh fruits, vegetables, and proteins prepared daily in-house. The franchise is known for its house-made proprietary dressings that add a unique touch to its offerings.
"We are thrilled to bring Salata to Alabama and introduce our unique, customizable dining experience to the vibrant communities of Birmingham and Montgomery," said Salata President Michele Maerz. "Alabama represents a significant growth opportunity for our brand, and we look forward to partnering with passionate franchisees who share our commitment to providing fresh, healthy meal options to our guests."
The chain also offers a loyalty program through its mobile app, where customers earn one point for every dollar spent. Accumulating 100 points earns guests a $7 salad kitchen credit. App users also have exclusive access to bonus rewards opportunities, such as double points weeks.
Salata is actively seeking entrepreneurs interested in a 10-year commitment. Prospective franchisees should have a net worth of $1 million, with $300,000 in liquid assets.
