Fatal Roadside Collision in Walker County: One Dead, Two Injured

In a tragic incident on Friday, a woman lost her life and two others were injured when two vehicles veered off the road and collided in Walker County, Alabama, as reported by state troopers.

Melissa S. Parker, 42, of Dora, was fatally injured when a Chevrolet Silverado collided with the Toyota Tundra she was driving. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's press release stated that both vehicles had left the roadway prior to the impact, leading to the roadside crash.

Senior State Trooper Brandon Bailey noted, “Prior to impact, both vehicles left the roadway, which resulted in the roadside crash.”

The collision occurred at 12:35 p.m. on Horse Creek Boulevard, close to Singleton Road, approximately a mile west of Dora.

Jose S. Perez, a 34-year-old man from Bessemer who was driving the Silverado, along with his 31-year-old passenger, sustained injuries and were transported to Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Jasper. According to state troopers, neither was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

State troopers are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
