Auburn Secures Commitment from 4-Star 2026 Edge Rusher Hezekiah Harris
The Auburn Tigers have landed their first blue-chip recruit for the 2026 class with the commitment of Hezekiah Harris, a highly sought-after four-star edge rusher.
Harris made his commitment public on Saturday morning, marking the start of Auburn's Big Cat Weekend event.
Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 220 pounds, Harris is about to begin his junior year at Mae Jemison High School in Huntsville. He is ranked as the No. 3 edge rusher in the 2026 class and the No. 3 prospect in Alabama.
Before his announcement, Harris had offers from 18 schools, including powerhouses like Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Florida, Florida State, Oregon, Tennessee, and USC.
Auburn's recruitment of Harris began early, extending an offer to him in January 2023, which was his third overall offer.
Since then, Harris has visited Auburn four times, including his latest trip for Big Cat Weekend, the Tigers' annual recruiting event.
During these visits, Harris found everything he was looking for and decided to commit to Auburn before returning home to Huntsville.
Harris is the third recruit in Auburn’s 2026 class, joining three-star offensive lineman Kai Ellis and three-star wide receiver Denairius Gray.
