Alabama Nurse and Mother of Six Tragically Killed in Georgia Accident
A devastating accident on Interstate 20 in Georgia claimed the life of an Alabama woman, Brandy Rodgers, on Wednesday afternoon.
Rodgers, 39, from Oxford, lost her life in a collision with a tractor-trailer at 4:02 p.m. The Georgia State Patrol confirmed that she was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to a GoFundMe page established to assist with the family’s expenses, Rodgers was returning home after completing her shift as a registered nurse when the tragic incident occurred.
Rodgers leaves behind her husband, Jason, and their six children. Jason shared his grief on social media, expressing how deeply she was cherished. “She was so loved by so many. To know her was to love her. She was the brightest of lights in a sometimes dark world,” he wrote.
Sarah Givens, a close friend, described Rodgers as an exceptional nurse. “She made nursing look easy,” Givens stated. “I want to believe that she knew how much we all loved her, but what I know for certain is that if you spent even a second with her, you walked away knowing how much you were loved. I saw her show kindness to people who felt like they were forgotten and give grace to the ones who needed it the most.”
