The Atlanta rapper Young Scooter, who was featured on Future and Juice World's blockbuster song "Jet Lag," which has had around a billion Spotify plays, has died.

Young Scooter, whose real name was Kenneth Edward Bailey, passed away on Friday, his 39th birthday, as first reported by TMZ. The New York Post reports that while trying to escape a police altercation, Bailey suffered a fatal leg injury.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta police were on the scene of a gunfight at a nearby home. Authorities claim that during the incident, Bailey hurt his leg while leaping fences. After being taken to a local hospital, he passed away from his wounds.
Among Young Scooter's well-known solo compositions were the 2017 singles "Jugg King," which has received around 30 million Spotify plays, and "Hustlin," which has had over 15 million plays. Future and Gucci Mane, two more rap legends, signed him to their record labels, which further solidified his position as a major player in the hip-hop scene.
