Yankees Fan Snatches Ball from Mookie Betts After Struggling to Remove Glove

New Yorkers will be New Yorkers.

Game 4 of the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees kicked off with unexpected chaos. I've already mentioned Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman hitting four home runs in four games (now six consecutive games), and now we have another wild moment involving Dodgers right fielder Mookie Betts.

In the bottom of the first inning, Mookie Betts leaped against the wall to snag a foul ball hit deep by Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres. However, after making the catch, a New York fan reached out, attempting to yank Betts’ glove off. When that failed, he managed to pry the ball from the glove instead.

The umpires quickly took action, calling Torres out and ruling the play as fan interference. As for the two Yankees fans who interfered, they were both ejected from the game.
