Tragic Motorcycle Accident in North Alabama Leaves One Dead, One Injured
Florence Man Killed in Limestone County Crash
On Thursday afternoon, a tragic two-vehicle accident in Limestone County claimed the life of a Florence man and left another individual injured.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) reported that the crash occurred around 5:44 p.m. on U.S. 72 near Little Elk Road, approximately two miles east of Rogersville.
Nineteen-year-old Sidney T. Hamilton was riding a 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R motorcycle when he collided with a 2019 Honda CR-V driven by Terry L. Albright, 63, of Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania.
The impact of the collision ejected Hamilton from his motorcycle, resulting in his death at the scene. Albright sustained injuries and was transported to Athens Limestone Hospital for medical treatment.
ALEA's Highway Patrol Division is conducting an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
