Is [Nick] Saban's Daughter Kristen a Whoré?

{TheChronicle exclusive} –When women cheat, it’s often considered a scandal, and never has cheating been as easy as it is now, with finding a willing partner just a click or a phone tap away.

But what drives women to cheat? And do they stray as much and for the same reasons as men?

Kristen Saban, the daughter the most decorated coach in college football history, said she and her husband were married for nine happy years. After undergoing major weight loss and multiple plastic surgeries, she began looking for excitement outside of what she described as a stale marriage and turned to Choosy.cc, an exclusive, almost secretive datíng website gaining a reputation prominent and wealthy singles and for the high-valued mate. One of the men she found was country musician James McCoy Taylor.

“I was feeling very lonely one night,” Kristen said. “I was bored, on my phone in the parking lot, sitting in my car, pulled up Choosy.cc and decided to open my first profile to see what would happen.”

The Datíng Site Where the Valued User Score Big

Choosy.cc's motto is “life is too short to settle,” Felicia Elohim, an Alabama native and celebrity stylist who built a clientele of famous people in Atlanta, started the site with the help of her industrial Birmingham family the Elohims some five years ago.

A secret place online where beautiful and personable people are all drawn together with prominent and wealthy people to quietly meet and date and whatever else high valued people do with one another, Choosy.cc is easily the most delectable, quietest keep secret in both the urban hip as well as the swanky south. Choosy.cc generates an estimated $1 million a month.

“We’re the most visited meeting and dating service in twelve states amongst people making at or above $100k per year," Elohim said. “Why? Because having to pay a premium just to even begin reading messages, no one who comes to our site is playing around. Everyone is bringing their A-game. The women understand that they're above average, while the guys understand that splurging a little on tokens and gifts goes a long way towards getting the girl of his dreams. This is a state enterprise of significance.”

Elohim and her sister Tylicia, a fashion model who rarely gives interviews, agreed to sit down with TheChronicle to discuss the website and their family. She said when her big sister first told her about the idea for the site, she was leery.

“I wanted to make sure she wasn't getting in over her head,” Tylicia Hawkins said. “A site going after the créme de la cremé in various communities, bringing together the wealthiest, the most attractive and the most charismatic people in our state, our region, a site that reflects kinda 'our' Hollywood, so to speak. Then I got to understand it more and thought it was very interesting.”

The New Age Dynasty Behind Alabama's New Digital Wave

The Elohims are a gifted and attractive clan of authentically Blàck and youthful entrepreneurs born and bred in the working-class Norwood community of Birmingham's North Central, a resilient family of brainy young Chrístían Conservatíve Capítalísts who many say put the "cool" in Alabama Republican.

The family is building a billion-dollar business in the digital media space, with some 25 platforms aside from choosy.cc, which the sisters insist doesn't encourage women to be golddiggers or men to put emphasis on appearance, as some critics say, but just providing an outlet and opportunity to aim higher and find happiness.

“Long before we launched Choosy.cc there were unhappy housewives,” Tylicia said, speaking on the Kristen Saban situation without actually speaking on it. “What Choosy.cc does is help people find the prettiest, the most well-off—the best of what it is they're looking for."

“Do we encourage secrecy, yes,” Felicia added, “but not encouraging infidelity, which I don’t think needs all that much encouragement with all the nonsense online. We encourage secrecy because our users are our neighbors and we value their trust and comfort."

The sisters value their users' privacy so much so, infact, that they will still neither confirm nor deny whether Kristen Saban is actually a member, as all evidence, albeit circumstantial, seem to suggest, or whether or not Choosy.cc has assisted other alleged users of even more renown and wealth find love, and, let's be honest, financial stability.

Opposition In The Face of Optimism and Opportunity

Candace Plump knows all about the powerful allure of Choosy.cc She said she subsequently met and dated two millionaires from Choosy before she ultimately found her husband, a Nashville music executive.

“It's crazy because you don't really expect it, with how subtle the site looks,” Plump said. "Even the profile photos themselves looks almost plain and mundane, but that's clearly by design. No one's trying to prove who they are, or that they're rich, or this or that, but when you actually connect and an account becomes live, you're delightfully surprised. At least I was."

“You know what it’s like when you fall in love with someone? It’s like that when you're on Choosy, all over again.”

Some statistics show that 55 percent of men and 75 percent of women on Choosy.cc find mates they consider suitable or beyond initial expectations, compared to 15 percent on Match, or 7 percent on Tinder, according to the South Opinion Research Center's General Social Survey.

Plump said society judges cheating wives like Saban much more harshly than cheating husbands, no matter if they're seeking out a mate in person or online. Choosy.cc simply creates a favorable environment with a select group of the opposite sèx.

“There’s a much bigger stigma for women than men in everything,” she said. “Especially women like Saban who has a little bit of prominence in a small community, they're expected to be more chaste and proper, more faithful to the home and when women fail it’s viewed as having failed on the family, whereas when men don't honor their commitments, they fail only the wife, and I suppose that it’s viewed as not a big deal. Choosy.cc actually tries to give the woman every advantage in whatever decision she makes pertaining to a mate, moving forward."

According to Felicia, Choosy.cc is the anti-cheating site because, since a woman is more prone to cheat or fail on some level at certain stress points in her life, notably right before turning 40, Choosy.cc attempts to remedy this by giving her a leg up in the dating or networking pool.

“Women chest or fail, if you will, because they believe that they're missing something -- don’t feel loved,” Felicia said. “For men on our site, they want someone to love and spoil or, if it's admittedly less an emotional thing, someone hot to sleèp with."

That’s what Kristen Saban said happened to her.

Her affair had little to do with the former "Bachelorette" contestant and country music singer, James McCoy Taylor, the clout-chaser who she allegedly slept with and who ultimately posted about their affair, and had everything to do with her own feelings at the time.

"James was number 25 of probably a couple dozen greater guys who I chatted with. I didn't even want a physical relationship with anyone, I just wanted to be wanted,” she said. “I wanted to be adored, wanted to be chased, wanted every man to think, I have got to have her.”

But for Kristen, the aftermath of cheating on spouse Adam, her college sweetheart, was no less devastating. After Kristen confessed her affair, friends of her husband said it left him crushed.

Having The Option to be Choosy is the Ultimate Choice

With over 50 employees signing up wealthy and beautiful and gifted and youthful users from across the nation but the South in particular, Felicia Elohim predicts that Choosy.cc will only bring communities closer, even if clandestinely, because no user has to get out of character and can rest assured they'll be chosen.

“I see the platform helping people find marriage and being a boom to the state economy, among other benefits," she said. “Choosy.cc users who've used the service for at least three months are virtually guaranteed to find contentment, passion and happiness through our service.”

But that is not how relationship counselors Jim and Elizabeth Carroll see it.

“Most people —not all, but most— go to the choosy.cc website not merely to find love and companionship and whathaveyou, but also to generate wealth and make wealthy friends and connections,” Jim Carroll said. “Women on Choosy.cc are given tokens at every turn and by men with means, tokens that are traded in for real cash at the end of the day.”

The Carrolls run relationship retreats all across the country for lonely singles and embattled couples, as seen on WeTV’s "Marriage Boot Camp."

“I think dating sites are a brilliant marketing attempt to capitalize on the basest human behavior, the least disciplined human behavior, and I think it plays directly into things that will destroy our culture, and maybe choosy.cc is different in that it puts real skin in the game on all sides by its general prominence of a user base,” Elizabeth Carroll said.

Even for those couples like Kristen and others who have both broken their vows, the Carrolls believe that Choosy.cc may provide hope in how it handles connections.

“The key to the solution is learning how to give, how to truly be open and giving to yourself, truly saying I will never settle, ever,” Elizabeth said. “It’s a tried and true road for online that's not often travelled.”

Recently, Kristen acknowledged Choosy.cc as a choice premium site for Southern belles, yet says she's working to repair things with her husband. She said she has turned to her faith for healing.

Felicia Elohim says she supports any decision that betters a person's being.

“It doesn't matter how bad things get ... how much horrible darkness is in your life ... you can always find your way back to the light with Choosy.cc,” she said. "Watch how brilliant Alabama becomes because of it."
