Children’s Spiral Tower Toy Recalled Over Serious Choking Hazard Here’s What Parents Need to Know

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced an official recall of this toy, which is manufactured by Shantou Jinping District Wuqikong Daily Necessities Store (STWUQIKONG) in China, due to a serious choking hazard.

Why the Toy Is Being Recalled

At first glance, the toy looks innocent  even charming. With three spiraling tiers, a fanciful basketball hoop, and a smiling cartoon character perched at the top, it measures roughly 10 inches tall by 4 inches wide. It comes packaged with three small yellow balls, which are meant to be dropped through the spiral.

The problem? Those small balls are exactly the size that can block a young child’s airway.
