Cheryl Hines Reacts to Husband RFK Jr.'s Endorsement of Donald Trump

Cheryl Hines, known for her role on “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” has shared her thoughts on her husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s surprising move to support Donald Trump. RFK Jr. ended his independent presidential campaign on Friday and announced his support for Trump, a decision that Hines admitted made her “very uncomfortable.”

Hines expressed her respect for Kennedy’s choice to run on a platform of unity, despite his campaign faltering. Kennedy’s poll numbers were around 5% before he decided to back Trump, who is currently trailing Democrat Kamala Harris in the polls.

In her social media post, Hines reflected on her experiences meeting people from all political backgrounds and described the journey as “eye-opening” and “transformative.”

The Hill reported that Hines was not in favor of Kennedy endorsing Trump, which caused some tension in the campaign’s negotiations with Trump’s team.

There’s speculation that Trump might offer Kennedy a Cabinet position if he wins the presidency, but Hines did not comment on this possibility in her post. She did thank Kennedy’s campaign staff for their hard work and expressed her frustration over the challenges her husband faced in getting on the ballot in some states.

Kennedy acknowledged Hines’ unconditional support despite her discomfort with his political decision. Hines had previously mentioned in 2022 that while she loves her husband, they often have different opinions on current issues.
