           Alabama Farmers Market, Birmingham, AL

For fresh foods at excellent prices, visit Alabama Farmers Market in Birmingham. This indoor and open-air venue ensures a rain-free shopping experience and offers every seasonal type of produce imaginable.

Coastal Alabama Farmers Market, Foley, AL

Coastal Alabama Farmers Market boasts a variety of produce and meats from local farms. What sets them apart is their impressive selection of freshly caught fish straight from the Gulf.

            Northport Farmers Market, Northport, AL

This open-air market features vendors selling everything from peaches to sweet potatoes to onions. You’ll also find homemade jellies, soaps, and baked goods with that special homegrown touch.

The Market at Pepper Place, Birmingham, AL

Open year-round from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., with limited hours in the winter, the Market at Pepper Place is a fun atmosphere for the whole family. In addition to produce from local growers, the market regularly features live music that will have you happily shopping to the beat.

            Tuscaloosa River Market, Tuscaloosa, AL

Open Saturdays from 7 a.m. to noon, this market is situated on the scenic Black Warrior River. Under a large pavilion to prevent rain cancellation, it hosts vendors offering fresh produce, organic cheeses, and grass-fed beef from local farms.

Of course, this particular list is subjective, because Alabama has many good farmers marketplaces, yet I found these five to be my personal preferences.
