According to reports from the news, a man pointed a rifle at the golf club where Trump was playing. The U.S. Secret Service fired at the suspect, who then ran away but was later arrested. Fortunately, Trump was not hurt.
Trump’s running mate, Senator JD Vance, said Trump is in good spirits despite the event.
Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump’s Democratic opponent, said she was informed about the situation.
Alabama’s Republican Senators expressed their relief that Trump is safe and asked people to pray for the nation.
Other members of Alabama’s legislative delegation also shared similar messages of support.
