Tragic Motorcycle Accident Claims the Life of 18-Year-Old in Florence
An 18-year-old, Jesse Christopher James, lost his life in a tragic motorcycle accident on Helton Drive in Florence. Authorities seek witnesses.

A fatal crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle claimed the life of an 18-year-old in Florence on Friday night. The collision occurred around 10:15 p.m. on Helton Drive, just north of Rickwood Road.
Emergency responders from Florence Police Department, Florence Fire Department, and Lifeguard EMS arrived promptly at the scene where a motorcycle, operated by Jesse Christopher James, collided with a vehicle entering the roadway from Helton Court.
Jesse Christopher James, an 18-year-old resident of Muscle Shoals, succumbed to his injuries from the crash. The driver of the other vehicle, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported to North Alabama Medical Center and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
In a statement, the Florence Police Department extended their heartfelt condolences to the James family.
