Atmore Community Foundation Awards Over $4,000 to Local Organizations

The Atmore Community Foundation, an affiliate of The Community Foundation of South Alabama, has awarded $4,250 to nine organizations in the Atmore community.

The Foundation's Advisory Committee, made up of local community members and leaders, oversees the competitive grantmaking process. For this cycle, they accepted applications from organizations addressing various community needs, including arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environment and beautification, health and wellness, human services, recreation, technology, and youth initiatives.

The grant recipients are:

- Grace Fellowship

- We Are Family Home Care Service Inc.

- The Atmore Area Christian Care Ministry

- Yellow Hat Society

- Pride of Atmore

- Pensacola Children’s Chorus

- Prima Girl

- Liberty Learning Foundation Inc.

- Main Street Atmore Foundation

"The Atmore Community Foundation’s main goal is to support the Atmore community," said Audrey Moon, chair of the Advisory Committee. "Our mission to improve the quality of life in Atmore is always at the center of these grant cycles."

Established in April 2017, the Atmore Community Foundation aims to make a lasting impact on the community. The Foundation's Atmore Community Fund serves as a vehicle for receiving donations and bequests to benefit the area.
