Tragic ATV Accident Claims Life of Centre Man in Cherokee County
Scott F. Wade, 51, from Centre, died in a tragic ATV accident in Cherokee County on Friday evening. ALEA is investigating the incident.
A tragic all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident resulted in the death of Scott F. Wade, a 51-year-old man from Centre, on Friday evening in Cherokee County.
The incident occurred when Wade's ATV veered off the road and collided with an embankment. The impact ejected Wade from the vehicle, leading to his immediate death, as confirmed by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
“Scott F. Wade was fatally injured when the 1999 Honda TRX 400FS ATV he was operating left the roadway and struck an embankment,” ALEA stated in a press release.
Authorities noted that Wade was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The accident took place around 9 p.m. on Friday, approximately nine miles from Piedmont on Cherokee County 28. ALEA is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
