**SAN JOSE, Calif.** – Bente Pernot earned a shutout with two saves, and Tatiana Cunningham took three shots to lead the San José State women's soccer team (0-1-1, 0-0 MW) to a 0-0 draw against Saint Mary’s (0-1-1, 0-0 WCC) on Sunday afternoon at Spartan Soccer Complex. This result marks the Spartans' first points of the season.
Pernot’s performance, which included her 11th career clean sheet, has moved her into a tie for third place on the SJSU All-Time career shutout list with Amee Brown (1996-99). Additionally, with her two saves in this match, Pernot has surpassed current Spartans assistant coach Paige Simoneau to take seventh place on the SJSU All-Time career saves list with 170.
Cunningham led the team with three shots, one of which was on target, surpassing her single-game season high from last year. Taylor Phillips contributed two shots and played the full 90 minutes, setting a new single-game high for minutes played this season. Bella Flocchini, Kennedy Mayo, and Payton Hoover each recorded one shot, while Jordan Rowell and Kyah Coady also played the entire match alongside Cunningham.
