Magic Face Setback: Paolo Banchero Out for 4-6 Weeks with Torn Right Oblique

We have major developments coming out of O-Town!

The Orlando Magic have gotten off to a pretty decent start to the season, tallying a 3-2 winning record up until this point. And with how young and talented they are, there’s expectations that the team will get better as time goes along. The hype has most certainly been real for the Magic.

And then, boom, a massive blow, as it was announced Thursday night by Orlando that their all-star power forward Paolo Banchero will be out for 4-6 weeks after suffering a torn right oblique muscle. (RELATED: NBA Insiders Say Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo Could Be Traded, Linked To Heat And Nets: REPORT)

Banchero has been absolutely killin’ it this season, putting together a stat line of 29.0 points-per-game (49.5%), 8.8 rebounds-per-game and 5.6 assists-per-game prior to his injury. On top of that, he even chalked up his first 50-point game in his career, doing so Tuesday night in a 119-115 win over the Indiana Pacers.

He suffered his oblique injury Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls, where the Magic lost 102-99.
