Hattie B’s Hot Chicken Expands to Huntsville: A New Culinary Hotspot in Alabama
Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, a beloved eatery from Birmingham, is set to make its debut in another Alabama city—Huntsville.
The famed Nashville-based franchise has announced plans to open a new location in the Stadium Commons development by the end of next year, according to Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate, who shared the exciting news via social media.
Hattie B’s first ventured outside of Nashville and into Birmingham back in 2016, quickly winning over locals with its fiery fried chicken. The restaurant is renowned for offering a range of heat levels, starting with “Southern” (no heat) and escalating through “mild or medium,” “hot!” “damn hot!!” and the tongue-scorching “shut the cluck up!!!”
Patrons can enjoy their spicy chicken in various forms: on a sandwich with one side or as a plate with choices of white or dark meat, wings, or tenders, accompanied by two sides. The menu also boasts an array of Southern-inspired sides and snacks, including Southern greens, bacon cheddar grits, fried pickles, french fries, pimento mac-and-cheese, baked beans, red-skin potato salad, coleslaw, and black-eyed pea salad.
Stadium Commons, a $145 million development, is set to rise on the former site of a movie theater between Joe Davis Stadium and Memorial Parkway. Construction, which began in May, will bring a mix of retail spaces, a parking deck, office areas, and, eventually, a hotel and apartments.
