**Teagan Wy Named to US U20 World Cup Roster**

On Aug. 8, junior goalkeeper Teagan Wy was selected for the US U20 FIFA Women’s World Cup roster. She will compete in Bogota, Colombia, from Aug. 31 to Sept. 22. This call-up follows a successful stint with the national team in February, where the US secured two 1-0 victories over Colombia, with Wy recording a shutout in the second match.

Wy was instrumental in the US's qualification for this World Cup as part of the 2023 CONCACAF Women’s U20 Championship team that finished in second place. This World Cup appearance will be her second, having previously served as a backup on the U20 team in 2022.

**Wy Earns ACC Preseason Honors**

Shortly after her World Cup selection, Wy was named to the Preseason All-ACC team, becoming the first Bear to receive this honor. She was the only goalkeeper chosen, and Cal was one of only seven teams in the 17-school conference to be represented. Last season, Wy started all 19 games, recording 86 saves, the second-highest total in program history and among Pac-12 goalkeepers. Her six shutouts and .796 save percentage earned her Third-Team All-Pac-12 recognition.

**Back In Camp**

Cal returns 25 players from the 2023 roster, including eight starters. The team also welcomes three transfers from prominent programs and four true freshmen. For more details, check out "Back In Camp: Women's Soccer."

**2023 Recap**

In 2023, Cal posted a 7-6-6 record, with a 5-1-4 mark at home in Edwards Stadium. The Golden Bears finished tied for fifth in the Pac-12 with a 4-3-4 record, thanks to an eight-match unbeaten streak at the start of conference play, during which they had a 17-4 goal differential.

The Bears' offense was a collective effort, with 29 goals scored by 13 different players. Ari Manrique and Karlie Lema led the team with five and four goals, respectively. The team also saw contributions from 10 players who registered 19 assists, resulting in 16 total point scorers.

Individually, Cal had three All-Pac-12 selections: Wy, Lema, and Mia Fontana, all named to the third team. Wy finished the season second in the conference with 86 saves, and ranked fourth in save percentage (.796) and saves per game (4.53). She also led the team to six shutouts, starting every match.
