Tragic Accident on I-65 Claims Life of Elmore Woman

A devastating collision on Interstate 65 in Shelby County resulted in the death of a 32-year-old woman from Elmore over the weekend.
The Alabama State Troopers have identified the victim as Shahla J. Noori. The accident occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, just five miles north of Calera.
According to Trooper Cpl. Reginal King, Noori was driving a Toyota Corolla when it collided with the rear of a Toyota 4-Runner, which was being driven by 40-year-old Sascha R. Glassford from Indian Springs.
Tragically, Noori was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Alabama State Troopers are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this fatal accident.
