NFL Legend Tony Dungy Appears To Call Out Kamala Harris Over Abortion Tweet

NFL Hall of Famer Tony Dungy publicly questioned Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday after she made a statement about abortion rights.

“One does not have to abandon their faith or deeply held beliefs to agree: The government, and certainly Donald Trump, should not be telling a woman what to do with her body,” Harris posted Thursday.

Dungy, who led the Indianapolis Colts to a Super Bowl victory and was the first Black head coach to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, responded with a seemingly pointed question.

“Exactly what ‘faith’ are you talking about when you say you don’t have to abandon it to support abortion?” Dungy wrote Thursday on Twitter. Citing scripture, he referenced Christian teachings on the sanctity of life, asking whether Harris’ message aligned with such beliefs or if it referred to a more general idea of faith.
