Milo's Hamburgers in Alabama Offers House-Made Chips, But There is a Catch
Milo's Hamburgers, a well-known fast-food restaurant franchise in Alabama, is adding a new side dish to its menu that could challenge the popularity of its famous crinkle-cut fries.

Recently, the eatery debuted its newest offering: homemade chips. The crispy new product is now only available at Milo's Cahaba Heights location, according to Southern Living, so there is a catch before fans get too excited to sample them.
Milo's marketing director, Mary Duncan Proctor, provided information about the new product, describing it as "a wavy chip—similar to the crinkle cut fry—seasoned with our distinctive fry salt." The restaurant's catering menu also includes these homemade chips.
Milo uses the Cahaba Heights location as their "test kitchen," where they launch new menu items for a brief four- to six-week run. Whether the product is expanded to other locations is based on consumer feedback from this trial. The grilled chicken tenders, which were initially tried at Cahaba Heights, are now offered throughout the chain as evidence of this strategy's success.
Milo's intends to try strawberry lemonade, another intriguing addition, after the introduction of the house-made chips. While chain fans will have to wait and see if these new things are available everywhere, Cahaba Heights is now the best place to get a sneak peek.
