Man Critically Injured in Early Morning Shooting at West Birmingham Gas Station

A man was critically injured after being shot early Thursday morning at a gas station in West Birmingham.
Officers from the West Precinct responded to a call just before 5 a.m. regarding a shooting at the Citgo gas station located on Forestdale Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound near the gas pumps.
The Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service quickly transported the injured man to UAB Hospital, where he remains in life-threatening condition.
According to Officer Truman Fitzgerald, detectives are actively investigating the circumstances that led to the shooting. At this time, no suspects have been arrested.
