Enterprise Tucker Wadsworth, a high star, stays close to home for D1 basketball and commits to Troy.
Enterprise, AL Tucker Wadsworth has not started packing yet. The burgeoning basketball sensation is being true to his roots.

The guard from Enterprise High School, whose name is already well-known across the hardwoods of Alabama, announced his decision on Monday, formally committing to Troy University. He also declined other Division I offers from Stetson and South Florida.
Wadsworth, a 2026 prospect with a fluid shooting stroke and unquestionable court vision, decided to remain near home for reasons other than convenience. It had to do with purpose.
Regarding his decision, Wadsworth remarked, "It just seemed right." "I want to represent this region of Alabama at the next level, and Troy believed in me from the beginning."
A Season of Breakouts with Momentous Poise
Wadsworth showed last season that he was more than simply a name in the box score. He played a crucial part in a postseason run that put the state on notice, averaging 11.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game for the Enterprise Wildcats.
But what really set him apart was his clutch gene.
Wadsworth shocked top-ranked Huntsville in the 2024 Class 7A semifinals with an impressive 18-point performance, including four game-changing 3-pointers. Enterprise made a lasting effect despite finishing second in the state championship game after their victory helped get them there.
Troy, why?
Wadsworth's commitment to Troy went beyond simply keeping in touch with friends and relatives. Together, it was about creating something greater.
Wadsworth is a perfect fit for Troy's fast-paced style because of his defensive tenacity, strong basketball IQ, and smart perimeter play.
He creates plays. A rival. Above all, he is coachable, according to a local scout. "Troy is receiving a child who has not reached his full potential yet."
Looking Ahead Wadsworth still has his senior season at Enterprise, where there are a lot of expectations and a greater desire for atonement following his close title finish the previous year.
But for the time being, college recruitment is no longer a burden. Wadsworth can concentrate on what he does best leading on the floor, honing his craft, and motivating Enterprise's upcoming talent thanks to his dedication to Troy.
Basketball in Alabama is on notice.
Tucker Wadsworth, a standout in his city or state and a player with the poise, potential, and demeanor to succeed at the next level, is well on the radar as the Class of 2026 starts to take shape.
And Alabama basketball fans will not have to go far to follow Troy's story, as he is only a short drive away.
