Just days after avoiding arrest, the mayor of a small town in Alabama is facing a court battle to keep his job. On Monday, a group of residents filed an impeachment lawsuit against Wayman Newton, the mayor of Tarrant. They accuse him of “neglecting his duties, corruption, incompetence, and other serious moral offenses.”
