Auburn Men's Basketball Announces Maui Invitational Matchups

Auburn men’s basketball will face Iowa State in the first round of the Maui Invitational. After that, they’ll play against either Dayton or North Carolina, according to a post on X (formerly Twitter) made on Tuesday.

This adds to Auburn’s already tough schedule for the 2024-2025 season. They have games lined up against five of the top 10 teams projected by Torvik, with three of those games happening before conference play even begins.

If Auburn faces North Carolina in their second game, the total number of top teams they will have played increases to six.

The other teams in the Maui Invitational are UConn, Michigan State, Memphis, and Colorado.

Dave Odom, the tournament chairman, said, “This year’s Maui Invitational has one of the strongest lineups ever. It features many teams aiming to make a splash in the NCAA Tournament, along with UConn, who is competing for the fifth time and looking to defend their back-to-back national titles.”

The tournament will be held from November 25-27.
