Randy Travis to Join 2025 "More Life" Tour with Original Band Despite Stroke
Country music legend Randy Travis is going on the road in 2025 for his “More Life” tour.
Though Travis suffered a stroke in 2013 that affected his ability to perform, he remains involved with the tour. Vocalist James Dupré will be singing with Travis’ original band while Travis travels along and engages with fans. Travis and his wife, Mary, will also appear onstage to connect with the audience.
In a statement, Travis said, “The ‘More Life’ tour means more than just music to me. It’s a chance to be with my fans and my band, while James Dupré delivers the songs that represent my career perfectly.”
Earlier in the year, Travis released a new AI-generated song called "Where That Came From." This raised discussions about the growing role of artificial intelligence in the music industry. Producer Kyle Lehning, along with Warner Music, worked on 42 tracks, using Dupré as the "surrogate" voice to bring Travis' music back to life.
