Kamala Harris Agrees to Second Debate with Donald Trump on October 23
Vice President Kamala Harris has accepted an invitation to debate former President Donald Trump on October 23. According to news, Harris announced on Saturday, saying, "I will gladly accept a second presidential debate on October 23. I hope Trump will join me."
Earlier this month, Harris and Trump had their first debate, which was Harris's debut as the lead candidate for the Democrats after President Biden chose not to run again. Harris’s campaign manager, Jen O'Malley Dillon, stated that Harris is eager for another chance to debate Trump. She added that Trump should have no issues accepting this debate invitation.
However, it’s uncertain if Trump will agree. After the last debate, Trump said there wouldn't be a third one, comparing it to a fighter wanting a rematch after losing. He shared on Truth Social that polls show he won the previous debate against Harris, calling her a "Radical Left" candidate, and noted she quickly asked for another debate.
According to news, the second debate would be similar to the one held in June between Trump and Biden. It will last for 90 minutes and won’t have a live audience. Both candidates have received the invitation, and the network is waiting for their final confirmation.
