Former President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that he will hold a campaign rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The New York Post initially reported on Tuesday that the rally is set for October 27. Speaking at a rally in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Trump confirmed that his campaign has “just rented Madison Square Garden” and emphasized his efforts to secure New York state, although he did not provide a specific date for the event.
“We just rented Madison Square Garden … We’re making a move for New York. It hasn’t been done in a long time,” Trump stated. “It hasn’t happened in many decades … How can New York be run worse than it is? With all the problems, everything is corrupt in New York, and we’re going to make a play. Let’s see what happens. I mean, the migrants have taken over Madison Avenue, Fifth Avenue, and the parks.”
