55-Year-Old Ohatchee Man Dies in Rollover Crash in East Alabama

A 55-year-old man from east Alabama lost his life in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Calhoun County.
The Alabama State Troopers have identified the victim as John L. Pruitt, a resident of Ohatchee. The accident occurred at 6:25 p.m. on Wednesday on Alabama Highway 144, about two miles east of Ohatchee.
According to Senior Trooper Vu Quang, Pruitt was driving a Lincoln Town Car when it veered off the road, hit a ditch, overturned, and collided with a tree. Pruitt was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident is currently under investigation by state troopers.
