A 13-year-old boy was taken into custody after bringing a BB gun to a football game in Lawrence County, Alabama, on Friday night.
The incident took place during a game between Hatton and East Lawrence at Hatton High School. According to news reports, several people saw the boy with the gun and immediately notified the school's resource officer.
Although the officer didn’t witness the boy holding the gun, a pat-down search was conducted, and the BB gun was found.
The boy is now in custody at the Department of Youth Services and faces charges for bringing a weapon onto school property.
