"NYC Mayor Eric Adams Challenges Harris's 'Fascist' Accusation Against Trump, Urges a Call to 'Dial Down the Temperature'"

New York City Mayor Eric Adams expressed a different view on Saturday compared to Vice President Kamala Harris, who labeled former President Donald Trump as a fascist on Wednesday.

Speaking at a security briefing with Deputy Mayor Chauncey Parker, NYPD interim commissioner Tom Donlon, and other police leaders ahead of Trump’s Sunday rally at Madison Square Garden, Adams responded to a question from Politico's Emily Ngo. When asked if he considered Trump a fascist, he said, “My answer is ‘no.’ I understand what Hitler did, and I know what a fascist regime looks like.”

Adams also noted that some political leaders in New York City have used terms like “fascist” and “Hitler” against him. He emphasized the need for a more civil discourse, stating, “As I’ve said repeatedly, I think we could all dial down the temperature.”
