Retired Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott revealed to the Daily Caller News Foundation that the Biden-Harris administration allegedly took extensive measures to conceal the immigration crisis from the public. This comes just days after a sector chief made similar assertions.
Aaron Heitke, former chief patrol agent for the Border Patrol’s San Diego Sector, testified before a House committee on September 18, claiming that the White House instructed agents to withhold information about arrests of special interest aliens (SIAs), relocate large groups of illegal migrants out of the media’s view, and follow other directives to obscure the true scale of the border crisis. Scott, who led the Border Patrol during the final year of the Trump administration and the initial months of Biden’s presidency, confirmed to the DCNF that he received comparable orders.
“There was a gag order imposed on us literally within minutes of the Biden administration taking office,” Scott told the DCNF.
He continued, “The chief of staff for Customs and Border Protection issued one of her first directives to prohibit us from communicating with the public, issuing press releases, or engaging with the media without White House approval. Not only were our statements not cleared, but when we did receive talking points, they were often inaccurate and misleading.”
