Chris Hodges Steps Down as Lead Pastor of Church of the Highlands
Outgoing Senior Pastor Chris Hodges, who founded The Church of the Highlands in 2001, keeps a counter in his office at Highlands College, where he is chancellor, that notes how many people have filled out cards at Highlands' services saying they are committing their lives to Jesus Christ.
Chris Hodges, the founding pastor of Church of the Highlands, has announced his decision to step down from his role as lead pastor. Hodges established the church in 2001, and under his leadership, it has grown to become the largest congregation in the state and one of the biggest in the nation.
Although he is stepping away from his pastoral duties, Hodges will continue serving as chancellor of Highlands College, the institution he founded on U.S. 280. His ongoing role at the college reflects his commitment to training and equipping future ministry leaders.
